Being in Europe for the last 7 years, I forgot how popular seat scooters are here in North America. This specific one, about 60 cm wide, not only is gigantic but is clearly parked under the No Parking sign. I like the composition of the lady on the phone and this scooter, a transportation vehicle out of convenience and not necessity, parked illegally at Giant Tiger on Cannon and Hughson Streets.
My first day of Project 365 in Hamilton features this mounted police officer saluting me with a friendly hello, sticking out his tongue in a goofy and joking way. Always good to be home, where the people and officers engage with you in a friendly manner.
As I was walking across downtown Geneva today after work, I came across this group protesting against the Swiss-Israeli military collaboration at Tour de l’Île. They were asking those listening to perform certain actions throughout the week to let people know they were protesting.
Driving through Soral, a small countryside town of Geneva, Switzerland, I came across this sad little house, who is certainly feeling blue. Even the hill it sits on is minuscule.
Today’s post features two photos. With the cold arriving in Geneva, the thought of warming up starts to install itself in our minds. First a man sits on a patio outside of Le Phare in Geneva with a blanket over his shoulders and lights up a tobacco pipe with a match. And celebrating the Escalade at Plainpalais was Gaston, dressed up as a bunny in his warm furry costume. Isn’t he adorable?
